Using Displays with the Anyware Client for Windows
When you connect to an Anyware PCoIP session, the Software Client for Windows presents your remote desktop across one or more displays. The number of displays used depends on your local system's available monitors and the PCoIP protocol, which supports up to four monitors.
You can choose to view your remote session in a resizable window or in full-screen mode using one or more monitors. It's also possible to add or remove local displays during a session.
Display Modes Overview
The Software Client for Windows offers three main display modes:
Windowed Mode: A single resizable window.
Full Screen All Monitors: Uses all available monitors.
Full Screen One Monitor: Uses only one monitor in full-screen.
Some options may not appear if your local system lacks multiple monitors.
Windowed Mode
In Windowed Mode, the remote desktop is displayed in a single resizable and movable window. The desktop automatically adjusts to the size of the window.
To enter Windowed Mode:
Move the mouse cursor to the top of a display to reveal the Software Client menu bar.
Select View > Leave Fullscreen.
Full Screen Modes
Full-screen modes allow the remote desktop to fully occupy one or more local displays. The Software Client menu bar is hidden in this mode; move your mouse to the top of the screen to reveal it.
Quick Tip: Toggle Full Screen
Press Ctrl + Alt + Enter to quickly switch between windowed mode and the last used full-screen mode.
Full Screen All Monitors
This mode spans the remote desktop across all available local monitors. Each remote display is mapped to a corresponding local monitor.
To use Full Screen All Monitors:
If you're in Full Screen One Monitor mode, move the mouse to the top of the screen to reveal the menu bar.
Select View > Fullscreen All Monitors.
Note: This option is available only if your system has multiple displays.
Full Screen One Monitor
This mode displays the remote desktop in full-screen on a single local monitor.
Switching to this mode from Full Screen All Monitors will consolidate all open windows and applications onto the single monitor.
Monitor Selection Behavior:
From Windowed Mode: The current window's monitor becomes full-screen.
From Full Screen All Monitors: The monitor where the menu bar is used becomes the active full-screen display.
To use Full Screen One Monitor:
If already in a full-screen mode, move your mouse to the top of the screen to reveal the menu bar.
Select View > Fullscreen One Monitor.
